18 Week Ultrasound

Here are the 18 week ultrasound pictures:

(I love this picture of the baby's foot)

I was not as happy with this ultrasound place (Mayfair Place) as I was with our 12 week ultrasound place (Southport Atrium). But the technician said that everything looked good and healthy.

Romeo

Romeo has been having lots of head tremors lately so when I took him to vet to get him checked out, they took blood samples. The samples came back okay so she thought that I should put him on this medication to stop the tremors (cause we aren't sure if they hurt him or not). When she gave me the medication she said, 'now these pills are going to make him drousy' I said 'promise?'. But she said that I should bring him back or call if he is too drousy. Well, I don't know if the pills are even working, because I haven't seen any signs of drousiness, in fact he is a million times more hyper now that he has been on the drugs. He just bugs me all day and sits on his chair to look out the window and cries because he wants to play with all the passing dogs....

Cute!

Travis and I went to James and Amanda Richardson's wedding on October 4th. It was really exciting for me because it was the first time I got to see all of my brownfield friends after we found out that we were pregnant. This is the card we got from Marianne & Douglas:

This is the front...

This is the inside...

(Marianne's niece helped her draw the picture inside)

Our little raspberry

First Prenatal Visit

I had my first prenatal appointment today. Everything went REALLY well. Apparently I am healthier than I thought I was. My doctor is so great, he always makes me feel really comfortable at every appointment. I was especially excited today when he told me that I get to have an ultrasound at 12 weeks. That's only 6 more weeks away!! I will probably feel like this is a little more real after I physically see proof that there is a small human growing inside me.

6 weeks; embryo is the size of pea...

Baby Belly

I have decided to take a few pictures of my belly every month so we can watch baby Pillar grow. Here is my belly at ONE MONTH!

(So I know that my bum kinda looks like what my belly will look like when I am 6 months; haha)

Baby on Board!

We're Pregnant!! I took a home pregnancy test on September 18th; it was positive. So I drove to Coronation from Okotoks to tell Travis the news. On September 23rd I seen Dr. Vacy-Lyle to confirm that I am in fact 'Knocked Up'.

Romeo's Mission In Life

So Travis and I have concluded that Romeo's mission in life is to stop ALL water from running. Whether it be the garden hose, the sprinkler or even the toilet, he has a fetish with trying to stop it.

Yeah you can tell that its going to turn out badly for me at the end but I still stood there and waited for the water to hit me. dumb dumb dumb.

August Long Weekend 2008

For the August long weekend this year we spent most of our time at the lake(s). On Friday evening after work we went out to Darlene and Lorne's lot in Gull Lake and spent the night. I got a video of the site and everybody (keep in mind that i'm not the best videographer)

Saturday Morning we drove over to Sunbreaker Cove (part of Sylvan Lake) where my Auntie Carol and Uncle Don live.

The community was having their annual Sunbreaker Cove Regatta so we got in on the action. They have races for the kids, that includes running, the potato sack race, the three legged race & water races. For lunch we got free hot dogs, a bag of chips and a pop.

Later in the day my Mom and Dad and I went into Bentley to the farmer's market where I got a new imitation Guess purse for $18!!!!!

After supper a few of us went on the boat. Kelsey, Kenzie and I went tubbing and OMG I am still sore from hanging on. Sorry there are no pictures of this; I 'forgot' my camera a the house for this part of the trip.

We went back to Gull Lake on Saturday night because I felt bad for leaving Romeo alone with Darlene and Lorne for the day. lol Sunday morning it was back to Sylvan for breakfast at Carol and Don's and to pick up the things that Travis forgot.

Overall it was a pretty great weekend. We are so happy to have family that will just let us mooch off of them.

We're Outta Here

So, after much consideration we have decided to sell our house and move into something much smaller, cheaper and somewhere a lot less busy. We have listed our house and are moving to Stettler, Alberta as soon as we sell. My last day at work with Wendy and John is September 05, 2008. Hopefully I will be able to complete my Real Estate Associate course before we move as that is what I hope to be doing in Stettler.

Bailey's Graduation

Little Bailey graduated on May 31, 2008. Christina, Lindsey and I were invited to help her celebrate in Coronation so we went on a road trip.

We went to my parents house before the grad for a slush and to get ready.

Bailey looked so gorgeous (as she always does) in her dress. I am super proud of her and wish her all the best in the future. She is going to Red Deer college in the fall to take Social Work.

Everyone says she looked like Belle from Beauty and the Beast, I would have to agree.

Coronation Grad Class of 2008

Just thought it was cute...

Romeo and Happy (my parents new puppy)

My parents got a new puppy a few weeks ago. They got her from a Corgi breeder in Brant (just south of Okotoks). Her name is Happy.

We brought her back to our house before they took her home. Romeo REALLY liked her...she didn't like him so much.

"It's raining, its pouring..."

So, lately its been raining.... A LOT! So much in Okotoks that the river flooded and all the paths were closed where we normally walk. Also, there is now a 'boil water' warning in place. But, being the troopers that Romeo and I are we faithfully went for our walk in the rain every night, looking like this.......................

I know...we look hot. But Romeo loves it. He gets to run through puddles and sometimes even go to the river. There is only one problem with the river, Rome can't swim. He sinks as soon as his feet don't touch the bottom anymore. Its hilarious. Okay, so maybe I will not make a good parent one day.

Travis' 23rd Birthday

Travis turned 23 on Friday so I thought we should have Dave and Lindsey over in celebration of his day (and also to try out my new firepit).

I don't think I have laughed as hard as I did last night in a very long time. Lindsey and I concluded that Dave and Travis are never allowed to be out in public together.....EVER!

Our firepit. I am so proud of it. What a dork I am.

It was also a puppy play date.

Cooling off in the puppy pool, with the help of Travis and Dave throwing them in.

We figured that if we let Romeo and Callie play (a.k.a. hump) all night then Saturday morning we would all get to sleep in (except Travis as he had to work).

Well I don't know if Callie let Dave and Lindsey sleep in, but Romeo definatly didn't let me. He was so hyper after they left that he couldn't sleep. I would wake up in the middle of the night to him walking around the house. After Travis left for work this morning I went back to sleep. I woke up 2 hours later to Romeo sitting on the bed staring at me, 3 inches from my face. So I got up. I came downstairs to let him out and found that he had been in the garbage ALL morning. There was cobs of corn everywhere, pieces of corn in the carpet, husks torn into little pieces, smokie packages (that he somehow got under the couch), those little white papers they put between hamburgers... the whole garbage was spread all over the house.

Now, as I type this, Romeo is trying to sleep on the floor beside me moaning and groaning and worst of all farting! Serves him right for making me have to vacuum at 7:30 this morning.

Travis Teaching Romeo Tricks

Yeats' Trip to the Big Rock

I was being teased at work for living in Okotoks and never having seen the 'Big Rock'. So when I got home from work today I immediately said to Travis, "we have to go see the big rock today, and we have to go NOW before it gets dark". He said okay so we took Romeo and drove the long 5 minutes to the Rock (I didn't realize it was that close).

So this is what we found.

This was a gorgeous house right beside the rock. It has the most spectacular mountain and valley views.

Romeo had a great time playing.

Overall I'm glad we went. It was pretty neat to see and if your ever in the area I suggest you take a look.
